Suggest Treatment For Sudden Hearing Loss With Dizziness And Nausea

What would cause and what can be done for recurrent periods of loss of hearing in just the right ear that starts as earache but with no fluid build up in ear and often associated with dizziness and sometimes significant nausea (steroids help while on them with hearing coming back usually in a few days)? Age 60 at 179 pounds 5 9 in generally good health aside from that issue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I can only say that the patient requires to see ENT specialist as soon as possible. He/she will check the right ear for possible chronic infection/inflammation and any problem with the tympanic membrane.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
