Suggest Treatment For Suffocation In Breathing And Dizziness
while eating my dinner or lunch I start feeling suffocation up to the extent that I almost start loosing my breath and I have to struggle to catch air. I start feeling dizzy and extreme weakness & my heart starts starts beating fast and then it feels like there is no pulse for couple of seconds and then it starts beating abruptly. I feel like the food is not moving down into my stomach and stuck somewhere near my throat, I feel like burping but it gets stuck in my throat making breathing even worst. My stomach gets tight and I feel like I may die any time. Then after sometime, it starts burping and things start getting relaxed but it took from 15 - 60 minutes to get normal. what is the treatment for it ?
It is possible that you may experiencing severe GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). It can affect the movement of food. The severity of the reflux may cause anxiety as well, which is expected, this may worsen your symptoms. It would be best to be assessed by your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
