Suggest Treatment For Suicidal Tendencies In A ADHD Person

i have 17 year old son with asd and adhd who has had 3 suicide attempts the last to date 14 jan 2015 almost suceeded [overdose with his own meds prozac and concerta] we wer not allowed leave a+e until we had appointment with luciena clinic where luke attends . our appointment was for this morning and we left with prescriptions for concerta prozac and they added apripiprazole and thats it see u next week, is there anything or anywhere else we can do or go,

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. A lot of individuals with ADD show some depressive symptoms. Sometimes patients of ADD while on attenterol show increased risk of suicidal attempts. He is on amphetamines like Concerta and has been asked to take Aripiprazole and Prozac. Prozaxc or Fluoxetine will help to control the depressive symptoms and he will feel better. Prozac will also help to reduce the suicidal attempts. Similarly Aripiprazole will help to reduce the psychotic symptoms and will help in mood stabilisation. Please continue to give him medicines as per prescription and wait for improvement. Visit his doctor for any expert advise.
