Suggest Treatment For Sweating, Blurred Vision And Fainting

My 21 yo daughter was in class tonight and she suddenly got sweaty, her vision blurred and she fainted. She has not been diagnosed with diabetes, but it does run in our family. Should she go to the doctor right now or wait until tomorrow to get an appointment?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

There are so many reasons for fainting suddenly but most important among them are the following:
-Low blood pressure is the first common cause. When we dont take enough fluids also we face this problem.
-Low sugars which is called hypoglycemia common in this age when they dont take enough food throughout the day.

If she is my patient I will give her some milk with sugar to make sure she get some sugar and fluid into her body. But it is always important to take her to the hospital to know exact cause.

Regards,
Dr.Alekhya.
