Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Bruise On The Leg

I fell one week ago on my left foot. They did xray and say nothing is broke . Swelling has went down but I am still having the swelling feeling when I walk on it and I still have a odd shaped bruise on the top of my foot by my toes. Half way through my work day it will start to ache and it aches up through my ankle into base of my leg.

Hello,

Swelling and bruise on left foot due to a fall can be treated by the following:
1) Pain relieving medications like NSAIDs like tab. Ibuprofen or tab. Naproxen are to be taken twice daily for 10 days.
2) To reduce the swelling, tab. Chymoral is to be taken once daily for 1 week.
3) To prevent gastric irritation by the above medications, tab. Pantoprazole 40mg once daily before food is recommended.
4) After Pain gets relieved to some extent, physical therapy is advised to regain movements
5)If your pain and swelling don't come down even after 10 days, it's better to see an orthopedic doctor for further evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
