Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Bruising Of Knee After Injury

I fell over someone and landed on concrete on my left knee. I felt instantly sick like I needed to vomit and I thought I was going to pass out. I now have a very sore knee that feels like I ve damaged something inside. It s a bit swallen and bruised too.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Swelling and bruising of knee joint after trauma or fall on some concrete surface is suggestive of trauma to the knee joint.
The swelling can be due to soft tissue swelling or can be due to effusion (collection of fluid or blood in knee joint).
A X-ray of the knee joint is required to assess collection of fluid in the knee joint.
If the effusion has occurred due to trauma, it can resolve spontaneously.
Rest and pain killers are required to allow the effusion and pain to resolve.
Kindly, consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and thus management.

Thanks and take care
