Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Pain In Hand

My hand is very swollen and sort of painful. It is red also in the middle. I am pretty sure I need to go to the doctor because it is the 4th day now and the swelling hasn't subsided..its gotten about half as small, but the tenderness and tightness is still present. Should I visit an urgent care center or my regular family physician?
