Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Pain In Knee

I was jogging with my dog yesterday and I felt a pain in my knee and when I woke up the inside of my knee is swollen and their is a contusion about 2 in in diamater. I did not hit my knee on anything should I be concerned about this? Could this be a blood clot?
