Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Pain In My Testicles

I have swelling on my left testicle. I have seen a Urologist on Monday, 10 May and he prescribed me Cprofloxacin HCL 500 MG adn Meloxicam 15 mg. There has been little reduction in the swelling. I went back to the Urologist on 14 May with the pain and swelling continuing. He prescribed Cephalexin 500 mg and Oxycodone and told me to stop taking the Ciprofloxacin. This morning there is still swelling and pain and I have started throwing up. They have done a ultra sound and it's not torsion. Any recommendations.

I am 39 years old and have NO sexual partners outside of my married wife and have not done any strenous exercising or hard lefting or carrying prior to this occurring. I was told to get a second opinion. My Urologist stated that surgery will be likely if there is not decrease in swelling by Monday, 17 May when I'm due to see him again at 1 pm.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i must advise you to follow the Urologists' advice.
The scrotal ultrasound scan has not shown torsion, which then may show inflammation or pus collection affecting the testis.
In that case, surgery is mandatory. Antibiotics have not reduced your symptoms or made the testis return to normal.
Your question is dated May 15th. Your surgery is probably over by now.
If you've any doubt, send it as a direct question to me,for an expert opinion.
