Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Pink Under Eye After Injury.
My daughter got hit below the eye with a field hockey ball during a game. The ball popped up as two girls were going at it with their sticks, it was not a direct hit or anything. Below her eye immediately swelled and with ice went down. Now it is pink and swollen pretty good. She said she can see ok and her eye does not hurt but feels weird cause of the swelling below it. We have been doing ice. What else can I do or look for? She has good pupils and does not have a headache or feel sick.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history of traumatic swelling and rash, my treatment advice is: 1. Apply ice on the lesions twice daily. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an NSAID like Ibuprofen for 5 to 7 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
