Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Redness Behind The Elbow Due To Mosquito Bites

I am on vacation in Naples, FL and have 21 mosquito bites. They have become welts and one in particular, on my left inner elbow is swollen, red and warm. I have had the bites since Sunday eve and have taken Zyrtec, and Benadryl at varied times. Ice packs, Itch spray and an assortment of topical home remedies. Should I be concerned about these, enough for a visit to a mini clinic?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You may want to consider the use of anti inflammatory medications, if you can use these, even if there is no pain. eg naproxen, ibuprofen

These meds are used to treat pain and/or inflammation.

Swelling and redness are part of the inflammatory response. One of these meds can be used along with one of your anti histamines.

If the area remains red, warm and swollen, then it is possible that there may be an infection present that requires treatment.

I hope this helps
