Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Redness On The Lower Leg

My son is 30 yrs old with swelling in his right lower leg with redness and the skin is hot to the touch, sometimes the other leg is affected. If happens once or twice a year and when he has been standing on his feet for a long period of time. Could this be some type of Cellutitis?

Hello,

Yes, it can be cellutitis, but you say it happens after long periods he stays on his feet and this maybe is thrombophlebitis. You have to take an appointment with your doctor because it needs treatment in both cases. Make some examinations like blood test and echo Doppler.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
