Suggest Treatment For Swelling Around Labia While Suffering From Yeast Infection

Hi, My husband and i have been married for a year. We only recently had issues in our sex life when we used a brand of condom we haven t used before. This led to a yeast infection for me. Intercourse was fine for a week or two once the infection was gone, although now i deal with extreme swelling around the labia after sex. Any suggestions?

Hello,

The swelling around labia indicates fungal infection induced vulva or vagina inflammation.

My guidelines for best recovery
- sex abstinence till complete infection control
- plenty of liquids
- avoid any chemical irritants as hair removal cream or else
- systemic anti fungal as fluconazole or itroconazole, broad-spectrum antibiotics as macrolides, vaginal flora support with lacto bacilli
- vitamin C and zinc as anti oxidant
- hygiene care of vagina

Do follow up after 24 hours or early as per the need.
