Suggest Treatment For Swelling, Bruising And Foot Pain After Inversion Injury

I had an inversion injury to the side of my right foot 11 wks ago & am still in a lot of pain. I have had 2 xrays which ruled out a fracture but have not been given any treatment other than strong analgesics & anti inflammatories. My foot still swells & bruises plus I cannot apply pressure on outside of foot, I also am unable to flex my foot fully upwards and it tends to turn inwards when I try. I still wear a support but don t feel it does much really. I have been told by my gp that I have a severe soft tissue injury & I am awaiting physio as there is approximately a 10 wk wait. Should my foot still be as acute by now?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, soft tissue injury and swelling could be the likely condition and it may take some time to come around, it may need some casting, try to keep the leg in elevated condition and better to get done the MRI test, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
