Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Ankle After An Injury

Deciding if I should go to emergency room or wait until morning. Fell hitting ankle on bottom of screen door. Ankle is very swollen and bruised. Burning pain when not elevated. cannot bear weight on it. Not sure what is the best thing to do. have been elevating and icing.
