Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Ankle

I have not worked in four months, and just recently started back working again a month ago. I am on my feet for eight hours, and I have now noticed swelling in my left ankle, it is not painful and when impressed my finger into it, it left a dent. Is this something I need to be concerned about?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi. Yes. Its definitely abnormal to have a swelling there. Its most likely a local pathology like an arthritis. Did you suffer any trauma to the joint? If you are a diabetic please rule out Charcot arthropathy. Give the joint some rest until you reach a diagnosis. Take care.
