I can understand your concern.
Swelling of feet and ankle are see with following diseases.
1. Liver diseases like cirrhosis
2. Kidney diseases like Renal failure.
3. Heart diseases like congestive heart failure
4. Hypoproteinemia
5. Lung disease like cor pulmonale.
So better to consult doctor and get done liver function test, ultrasound examination of abdomen, Renal function test, ecg, 2d echo, serum protein levels, chest x ray etc to rule out above mentioned causes.
Treatment for each one is different. So first diagnose the cause and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
