Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Tongue And Oral Thrush
My thrush symptoms started Saturday, we re pretty bad Sunday, and my tongue was swollen and sore by Monday. I went to the doc I knew it was trush as soon as it started up so yes she agreed and put me on nystatin. My questions are... Is my tongue supposed to burn badly after the wash and dull down later but still be there? My tongue has a yellow shimmy film towards the front that is red and stings around the edges, is that normal? Lastly am I supposed to be brushing my tongue? I haven t been due to pain.
I believe that doing a throat swap before taking any treatment is the best thing to be done. If doctor said that it us thrush then nystatin is right treatment.
You can use different lozenges over the counter in a pharmacy. Wash your mouth and tongue as usual.
Burning and loss of taste is normally happening in oral thrush.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
