Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Tonsil

I have swelling in my left tonsil then it will switch to my right and the swelling will go back an forth. With occasional soreness when I touch my tonsils on the outside of my neck. This has been going on for a month. Besides the very light pain I feel great. Should I go see a doctor?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. With the history of enlarged tonsils and soreness when you touch the outside of your neck indicate that you have got an attack of tonsillitis. I would advise you to have to undergo a proper clinical examination to be done by a Doctor who can catch many of the problems on your proper history and physical examination and can then guide for further investigations and treatment.
Try with a course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines for 1 to 3 weeks.
If there is no complete relief or there are more than 3 attacks in one year you may require tonsillectomy.
