Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Vagina

Hi I think i may have a lost tampon, but am not absoulutly sure if I put one in or not I have reasons to believe I did because my vagina seems to be swollen and it is hard for me to get my fingers in without inserting them at an angle, but I put them in all the way and nothing is there, also I found a piece of the string in my pants, I have no pain and I am not sure exactly what to do.
