Suggest Treatment For Swelling Of Ankle

I fell on my ankle playing football last tuesday 3/5/2011 it wasn't swollen at first but couldn't walk on it straight away i went to the hospital and got an xray its not broken so went to work the next day. It swelled up the day after and is still swollen now. I can walk on it but its painful when i point to the ground or the roof?
