Suggest Treatment For Swelling Of Lower Eyelid After A Black Eye?
I have a black eye and had a boogie so went to blow my nose and then my bottom eye lid blew up like a bloon.... i understand you have sinuses (i think maybe the ethmoid or sphenoid sinus could be ruptured as why would the lower eyed lid swell like a bloon and then when pushed deflate ) around your eyes but i have to fly on the 12th do you think it will be possible with the pressure ?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having swelling of the eye lid following black eye as a result of nasal injury. My response to your question is as below.
These symptoms require examination to rule out causes like ecchymosis of conjunctiva secondary to fracture or involvement of nasal bones or the bones forming the boundary of sinuses. I usually advice ENT examination and radiological tests like X rays to rule out these conditions. The treatment is by use of cold compression and antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly. Hope this answers your question. Do write back to me for further questions.
appears injury might be cause of black eye. sinus is not related. it is developmental continuty of layer which caused sweling of lid in continuty of blak eye.it is self limiting, notreatment is requered. you can fly as per scheudule.
