Suggest Treatment For Swelling On Cheek

Hi. I fell 5 weeks ago and caused a large swelling on my cheek along with a black eye. I have not had it x rayed but have been to my doctor who said they didn t think I d broken it My problem is that I have been left with a largish indented mark on my cheek. The indent is still darker than the rest of my skin as though it is still bruised . It feels like there is a bony lump underneath it I am really concerned that this is going to be permanent, as it seems to be making my face look lopsided particularly when I smile.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that there might be having hematoma formation on the cheeks following injury.
Not it seems that hematoma is encapsulated and localized producing this problem.
Apply ice pack for some time.
Apply thrombophob cream.
If problem persisted then you might require aspiration of blood with wide bore needle.
Ok and take care.
