Suggest Treatment For Swelling On Leg Caused By Accident

Hi, I fell off a motorbike and have big bruise and cuts on my leg, near the knee. Under the bruise my leg is swelliing. Is this normal? Is there something I can take to reduce the swelling?
My Toe is also a bit swolen.

I went to the doctor after the accident and had it properly cleaned up and bandaged so I do not think it is infected.
