General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Swelling on sclera (what we call scleritis) is a severe inflammation / infection of the white part of the eye. It is often associated with severe autoimmune disease. So, I think you should get rechecked by ophthalmologist and discuss with him/her to start oral medications to suppress immune system and reduce inflammation. We consider it as emergency in ophthalmology, that's why I highly recommend to get rechecked now, as soon as you can.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
