Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes. Thank you. I dropped a bucket of water on my foot about 2 weeks ago. I have NO broken bones. HOWEVER as the Swelling began to subside, it appeared that a large Bulge appeared near the Smallest Toe on the top of the foot, which was the affected area. It is now quite Large. I am going to a Foot Specialist Tomorrow. It is about the size of a Dime, and makes it ver ydifficult to walk in my regular shoes. What rmemdy can I apply to help this heal?
The issue narrated is post-traumatic hematoma involving 5th toe of the foot.
Require the following care:
- Avoid prolonged standing or running.
- Keep the leg elevated over 3 pillows.
- Apply ice 4 times a day.
- Take tablet Aleve if no history of drug sensitivity.
- Consult your doctor for prescription drugs like antibiotics and proteolytic enzymes as Chymotrypsin which helps to get better recovery without turning it into an infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
