Suggest Treatment For Swelling On The Right Ankle

I fell off my porch and landed on the ground. My right ankle immediately swelled and I can t put any weight on it. I went to the e.r.and they took X-rays. They didn t see any broken bones so sent me home. I still have pain and swelling and still can t put any weight on it.

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
A muscle sprain/strain after such a fall may give you all the symptoms you present.Since there is no fracture, i will suggest the following:
-Rest well
-Take pain/antiinflammatory like ibuprofen
-Apply a topical pain gel like voltarene and use a bandage lightly on the leg
-Elevate the leg while lying to prevent more fluid accumulation
-Take a diuretic like lasilix if swelling too serious.
Hope this will help you
Best regards
