Suggest Treatment For Swelling & Pain In The Arm

I went to the er two days ago and they told me that i had elevated d-dimer results. my left arm is also swollen and painful. they did an ultrasound on my arm and a vq scan. those results were negative.i have a history of pulmonary emboli. What should i do?
