Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Well it started with a plum i swolled by mistake and doc ordered a stomach Ct scan. That came clear but they caught two nodules on bottom of lungs. Had more CT s with a needle biopsy even, no sign of anything but pointed to inflammatory nature. They ran umpteen tests one anca- mpo came back positive. Now I had no symptoms until they started asking. Do get occasional low grade fevers and get tired easily. On levoxyl for 18 years.. They did nothing but ran another ct in 6 months, the larger nodule disintegrated and smaller shrank. They think maybe i picked some bug in India when I went there 4 years back. Ran one more CT last week after an year, doc called today n said multiple non calcified nodules. They want to do a pelvic and a abdomen scan. I am 48 years old very active, working full time with three children. Feel like a guinea pig. What would you advice. The only thing I didn t mention was a weird autoimmune kind of reaction I had 18 years back whenmy first son was born, they found a pituitary related growth thought to be a tumor. Went in and found acyst instead, didn t do anything but gave me some medications and it shrank. Only thing leftover was this hypothyroidism. So should I go for another CT. Ima sure i already had 4-5 last year and worried about radiation exposure!
