I twisted my ankle in February 2015. It was sore, swollen and bruised for a week or so then was getting better. The only lingering pain I have is in the outside of my foot, right by the baby toe joint. It hurts to touch and to walk on, but not impossible. I had it checked out by my dr and he said its soft tissue damage and prescribed me an anti-inflammatory cream to out in 2x daily for 2 weeks. It hasn t helped and the pain seems to be getting worse, to the point of it throbbing in pain by the end of a work day. Is this normal for soft tissue damage, or could there be something else wrong with it?
