Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Elbow Caused By A Fall

I about a wk ago i was walking in the woods, the leaves on the floor were damped and slippery, so i fell backwards apparently hitting my elbow, but did not feel it at the time. Two days later it became red & swollen, could not touch it as it was so painfull. It has become better now, it is not a swollen, but it still hurts, what can i do to make it heal completelly?
