Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Eyelid

My bottom eyelid is swollen I woke up like this on Friday and it went down through out the day but when I got home I took a nap and I woke up and it was swollen again I went to go buy some eyewash and I used it before I went to sleep and I woke and it s still swollen it s Saturday

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swollen and painful eyelid can be due to causes like Stye that is infection at the base of eyelash while can also be due to Chalazion that is due to clogging and infection in the specialized gland present in the eyelids known as Meibomian glands..

It can cause swelling and redness of the eyelid along with pain..

I would suggest you to start doing warm compresses over it by soaking a wash cloth in warm water and apply it over the swollen are..
It helps in drainage of the pus and inflammatory fluid and helps in reducing swelling..

In case if the swelling does not subside then you need to consult an Ophthalmologist and get evaluated and he can advise you antibiotic and steroid eyedrops and ointments along with warm compresses for relief..

In case if it sill does not improve or recurs Incision and Drainage can be done..
