Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Finger

my right ring finger is swollen from the tip to the first knukle so about an inch. I thought it was an infection so I tried to bleed some of it out then i put antiobotic cream on it. Its been swollen for maybe 5 days. It dosent hurt as bad now but the swelling is still getting worse, slowly.
