Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Knuckles

Hi I cut my finger ( the one next to the thumb) exactly where it bends on the middle joint (not the tip or knuckle) it was deep and I put the plaster stitches to hold it together it finally stopped bleeding so I didn't go to a and e but now both my knuckles are really swollen and burning hot and my finger is swollen it really hurts should I go to a abd e? I'm reluctant to go because I'm home with the kids and no one to look after them and I can't drive with one hand
