Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Labia

I had sex with my husband the other night and after about 5 min my inner labia started to hurt. I felt it and it was swollen. Now two days later I am spotting and my inner labia is still a little swollen. I had a baby in July and had an IUD put in the last week of October. Any ideas?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Your labia might have got traumatized during intercourse and that may have led to swelling and bleeding.
Moreover, the labia could get infected also which can lead to its swelling.
I would therefore suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti verma
