Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Throat

Hi. I m female, 28 years old. I have had a really sore throat, worse ever, for a week now. I have been taking amoxicillin and ibuprofen for the infection and the swelling. The infection is still present and the swelling is worse. I cant swallow without ducking my head, for the pain. I had to go to the emergency room for these prescriptions as I have no insurance and I really need to know what to do. I am on my last two ibuprofen pills and I am saving them so I can use them at night so the pain wont keep me awake. I forgot to mention that I am diabetic.

Read your query as you have swollen pajnful throat this can be due to strep throat or viral infection . If will suggest you to consult ENT surgeon and go for complete examination of throat . Inmeantime do luke warm saline gargle and you can take medicine like Azithromycin and Allegra by consulting with local doctor .
