Suggest Treatment For Swollen Ankles And Itchy Toes

I have a bite just below my ankle. not sure if its a spider bite but am assuming it is. I have a red spot about 1 inch in diameter, my foot and ankle are swollen and it itches from my heal to my toes. I live 40 miles from the closest Dr. How long should i wait to go to the dr?
