I suffered from Lymes disease some 10 years ago, and eventually underwent a an almost 6 months long regime of various antibiotics, which eventually did away with all my symptoms (exhaustion, short duration pains in various parts of my body, swollen ankles (one at a time, short duration, traveling aches and pains throughout my body, and slightly elevated temperature). Summer of 2015, these symptoms began to recur, and eventually lab tests confirmed that once again, I had contracted this disease, and was prescribed 3 weeks worth of antibiotics, which did very little to alleviate the symptoms. In June of this year, I still felt ill, however, this time the laboratory blood work indicated that this was not a new infection, and therefore no more antibiotics were needed. I am 81 years old, and I suppose at this age one can expect to get achy, stiff, lose physical strength, deal with various aches and pains, etc. I am now taking nabumetone 500 mg tabx 2 x a day which do not appear to help much. Please tell me what I should do to make sure that this is as good as I can expect to feel the rest of my life - or is there anything else I can do to get rid of the ghost of a decade old problem?
