General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a hematoma which is nothing but a collection of blood underneath the skin. It might have developed secondary to some trauma that might have went unnoticed.

As of now you can apply icepacks for faster recovery. Generally the lesion will settle in few days. if symptoms persists better to consult a general surgeon and get evaluated.

An ultrasound scan may be required to assess the severity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
