Suggest Treatment For Swollen Bruise On Thighs

I had fallen down some stairs about 4 years ago. I had a huge bruise (maybe a foot long) down my thigh on the side and 6 inches in width. It swelled, but after a few months the swelling went down. I still have an odd shape on my outer thigh where it happened, but it isn't terribly noticeable. I noticed around a year or so ago, that it began hurting when I sat down. So I have altered, by sitting up to the front of the chair, or twisting to where that leg thigh is off the seat. It continues to get worse. Between that fall and now, I have had a large A Typical brain tumor (baseball size) taken out of my head and I just felt like this was nothing in comparison, but it is really hurting at times and I am becoming a little worried. Is there anything to worry about?
