Suggest Treatment For Swollen Face And Herpes In Lip

Hello! My brother got white-yellowish blisters in his mouth a few days ago ( last Friday I believe). At first they didn't bother him but now they hurt and his face is swollen. He also has herpes on his lower lip - he took some prescription pills for this, however it is not getting any better. What can I do to help him get better?
