Hello,

You are suffering from swollen feet with blisters on top of the feet and toes. You have pain and discomfort due to clear fluid filling in the blisters. Friction between your skin and the shoe results in layers of skin separating, forming vesicles and filling with fluid. Visit ER and get the vesicles punctured with a disinfected needle, get the blisters cleaned with antiseptic. You can also do it yourself.

Allow fluid to completely drain from the blister. Apply antibacterial ointment or cream on the blister. Water blisters are caused by repeated friction. You get pain when the blisters break. Blisters may also contain body fluid (plasma, serum, blood, lymph or pus) within the upper layers of the skin. It is caused by forceful rubbing (friction), freezing, chemical exposure, burning, excess heat or infection.

After cleansing your foot apply antibiotic ointment and a bandage. Avoid formation of blisters by wearing thick socks and properly fitting shoes or boots. Keep your foot clean and dry. Do not let excessive moisture clog the pores on your feet resulting in the formation of blisters between the toes, etc. Do not wear socks on which you have sweated, accumulation of sweat in the shoes and socks lead to formation of water blisters. Take care of your foot hygiene. Wear moisture-wicking socks, wear sandals or breathable shoes.

Change your socks or shoes when your feet become moist or sweaty. Avoid wearing leather boots for a long time. Use foot antiperspirant to reduce sweating. Keep your feet dry. Use a cold compress or take a cool shower to ease the pain. Take pain reliever like Tylenol (acetaminophen) for relieve.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
