Suggest Treatment For Swollen Fingers And Palm Caused By Moving Boxes

My daughter has been lifting boxes (moving) and last night she moved her hand, felt a sensation like a cracking feeling over her third and fourth knuckles. This morning her fingers and palm are swollen. She can close her hand part way and then feels a sensation at her wrist. What is this and what should she do?
