Suggest Treatment For Swollen Glands On The Side Of The Neck

My glands on the right side of my neck are very huge and swollen. I went to the dr. on Fri. and he prescribed antibiotics. He also prescribed an ultrasound taken of my neck. My glands are still hard and neck is swollen. I m wondering if this is only related to a throat infection. My glands have never swollen up like this....and only on one side. Could it be symptoms of something more serious?
