Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fell on my hand three weeks ago. My hand was swollen badly afterward and has mostly returned to normal. My pinkie finger is still severely swollen and doesn t seem to be getting better. It actually feels like it s getting worse. It hurts to bend it and the pain reaches down toward my lower hand. My lower hand feels different now as well, as if a flat bony section has risen up from it. It doesn t hurt to touch. It just seems strange that it s there. I can move my pinkie finger fine, other than not being able to bend it because it s so swollen.
After reading your post, I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined and investigated by an Orthopaedician. An X-Ray of the injured hand is needed on immediate basis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. R.A. singh
