Suggest Treatment For Swollen Jaw

I'm having pain on the left side of my jaw. I've pushed around on my teeth and the problem doesn't appear to be tooth related. I've had two heart attacks and know that left jaw pain is a symptom. My jaw is swollen, painful when touched, and painful when I open my mouth wide.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per you query it seems that the bump can be due to either Hematoma formation that is common after tooth extraction and can take some time to resolve, however one year is a pretty long time and you need to consult an Oral Physician and get an x ray done..

At times it can be due to any remaining root piece that can be flaring up and can cause abscess or cyst formation..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x Ray is a must for confirmation of the cause and then only it can be treated appropriately..

As of now do warm saline gargles and antiseptic mouthwash gargles..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
