Suggest Treatment For Swollen Knee After Hitting

I have an extremely swollen knee from hitting it at work on steel but will be a work for another month and i have been icing it and taking alot of advil. I was wondering if i should drain it? I dont want to risk infection but it hurts and thought it would help
