dear doctor, my grandma is a 70 year old female, suffering from diabetes, her diabetes is uncontrolled and since two months her leg started becoming swollen, she then realized that the skin overlying the swelling became erthymatous, and since 5 days it became black
Dear sir I can understand your concern in my opinion there are two common possibilities for the swelling of feet 1. cellulitis due to infection this condition will make skin red and also slightly painful som times associated with fever 2. there can be decreased renal function due to age factor and also due to uncontrolled diabetes these conditions can be investigated by test like 1.cbc 2. ser creatinine and blood urea 3.ecg and echo to rule out any heart Failur which can some times lead to swelling of feet kindly meet a doc for further analysis regards
