Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lines On The Legs And Inner Thighs

My wife has swollen lines where the back of her legs meets her buttocks, and some on inner thighs. They are itchy, the swelling seems to have gone down for a couple of the lines but others appeared and the ones that the swelling has subsided are a bit red now.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history, you are having a fungal infection called as tinea corporis. My treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply an anti-fungal cream like Clotrimazole cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral Fluconazole, Itraconazole, and Terbinafine is taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
