Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node In The Neck

Hi...my son has been suffering with swollen lymph node, sore throat and general weakness for 6 months. He was Told during 3 appointments that it is vital. Now, 6 months later the lymph node is larger, difficulty swallowing, night sweats, 16 pound weight loss, coughing up small amount of fresh blood and still weak. Went to 2 urgent care appointments and they recommended another ENT. The first ENT put him on steroids and sent him home. He now has had persistent hiccups and can t keep anything down along with the afore mentioned symptoms. We can t get into a specialist until Feb 9th. He is about to have a break down. He is hungry, Tired, hiccuping, bleeding difficulty swallowing and painful lymph. I just do not know what to do.

Hello..
Had it been a simple problem it would have come down with the above treatment and antibiotics..
Bleeding weight loss enlargement of lymphnode is a bit suspicious..
I dont know whether his basic blood work is done or not..
I would advice you to get a cbp with differential counts, coagulation profile..
Laryngoscopy and A biopsy of the lymphnode, usg scan of neck gives a definitive diagnosis after a thorough clinical exam and get other tests done accordingly..
Dont worry...it will be a curable problem..
If you have any more doubts I would be happy to help you...
I find this answer helpful
